Fire Training

In 2014, 911Programs began providing fire training seminars and bimonthly drill classes as well as our unique Company Officer Test Prep classes. Instructors include local experts as well as nationally-known lecturers.

Fire Training Seminars: Nationally known speakers and experts on fire tactics providing insight into unique fire and rescue situations.

Drill Nights: Offered every month or every other month. Three hour sessions to discuss various topics in the fire service. Taught by local fire instructors.

Company Officer Test Prep: Prepares participants for promotional exams. Each course meets once per week for 6-9 weeks and covers one of the texts used by RI fire departments.

May 19 (Drill Night) "Marina Boat Fires: A Primer for the Summer Season" (Lt Chris Lamothe & FF Mark Walsh, Cranston DF)

May 26 (Drill Night) "Engine Company Operations: A back to basic engine company operations discussion" Topics include: Role of the first due engine company, Apparatus positioning, 1st line placement, Common mistakes of the first due engine officer (Lt Joe Vingi, Providence Fire Dept) [No gear needed]

June 24 - 27  New England Fire Chiefs Association 93rd Conference and Exposition
